Kickstart return spring problem

    1981 Husqvarna CR430. My return spring snapped off, i bought a new spring but now i´m having problem on how to assemble it, any ideas on what i´m doing wrong here, i appreciate any help :)
    I assemble it on the transmission cover but it´s not grabbing the start gear.
