Went out for a race today....

One kick, Rekluse third gear wheelie holeshot...got to first turn and my kick starter was still down.... while I slowed to put back.... the field zoomed by....

Havent looked in there yet but any ideas?

Sometimes mine sticks to my peg. Lift the peg and it returns just fine. Just an idea, could be a bigger deal than that.

I noticed on my 2000 WR when the engine gets hot, the kick starter feels like it's slow to return sometimes, almost like it's dragging or binding on the way up which is pretty weird. Once the bike cools off, it's back to normal. I wonder if it's due to lack of clearance between the trust washers on the kick mechanism and the engine cases? I looked in the IPB (table 7, index 8) and there are two washers that are available in 3 different thicknesses. I've never had my engine case apart so this is only my theory.
