Really? From what I've read recently most stop wearing them because they can't fit over their gut  I don't have that prob, but I do get a sore back and tender kidneys if I ride hard without one. I've tried Fox and EVS and even a cheapo ARC, but this is the real deal.

I feel with the good suspension of modern bikes I don't really need it.... I have a funny riding position and don't sit so maybe that's it.... glad you found one....

I've been wearing a Moose racing one that on the back side resembles a WWF Championship belt. I feel it does a lot more than body armor in that it also helps keep your back straight in awkward situations which might prevent a lower back injury. I see a lot of truck drivers like UPS and FedEx guys wearing the kind like you show in the first post. For under $20 it's worth a try. Usually they fail because the velcro gives out, which is probably why I've seen some high dollar ones with straps that buckle.

Yeah, the EVS Impact is like that and it's uncomfortable and doesn't stay in place on me. Fox and ARC the velcro is lame after a few months of use. I found threads at ADV and TT and quite a few said this was the best. Only online store I found was Scotts and they wanted $39.99 plus $14 S&H! Then got an ebay hit and it was this place. They said they ordered a box of 'em a couple years ago and these are the leftovers. Still in the wrapper and very high quality

Ive been using the KevCo Stubbs brand (medical company) belts for I think @ 20 years now, I tried their wide belt 9" but it was too wide for me so I just stick with the standard width 7". I like the support, but fact is I wear it without tension, just barely there when standing and just a little snug feel when sitting.

I remember (I think) Ty Davis, LR, Randy Hawkins among many others use or used the KevCo-Stubbs support belt

Yeah, that's right. I saw a long list of users with those guys and a bunch more. It seems to me most kidney belts these days do more to protect from impact than add support and stabilize the kidneys. I crashed big time racing mx and got ran over by the 2 guys behind me seriously injuring the muscles in my lower back. After a lot of physical therapy and wearing a back brace for most of a year my back muscles were actually stronger. Except when I ride a motorcycle, street or dirt, then I need support. I don't need impact protection from a belt because I wear padded shorts and body armor when I play with others. Also, I'm tall and skinny. This belt keeps my kidneys from bouncing around and corrects my posture when in attack mode

Back in the day, I always wore one with an Acerbis chest protector. Then I got an integrated chest, back, and arms protector with attached kidney belt that I've been using with and without a Fox kidney belt.

Now I'm dying to try my fancy new Leatt Fusion 3.0 and yep I'll be wearing a kidney belt. Sometimes towards the end of a long race (70 miles+) I need to sit a little and I don't wanna piss blood the next day.
