We have had a lot of storms blow through SoCal in the last week or so. Christmas day came up wet, cold and windy in the high desert, but not cold enough for any snow. Nobody else was out there, although there were tracks on some of the trails that led me to believe that some of the locals had ridden over for a morning session. A week later, the storms were gone, and sunny skies prevailed for New Year's day. Still plenty chilly for my neck of the woods though, at 41 degrees. Two good rides that were marred only by some painful sciatica. Getting old sucks, but trail riding doesn't.
