Ok I need a refresh. Assembling the late 70' cases we need to time the tranny in the correct gear for assembly. I think it's two teeth on the shifter gear in third gear on the drum.?

I'm working on the piston and cylinder for now. Time to build engines.

You're right about the 2 teeth of the step feeder being visible at the top of the shifter drum and one at the bottom but when setting up a late 70's six speed the trans must be in fourth gear. You must have been thinking of the early to mid 70's five speed because it uses the third gear setting.

Fourth gear with two teeth showing on the feeder. That's it thanks. People make a note of this timing when assembling the older mid 70's to 80's cases.
