Trying to get my Lectron dialed on my 300. I am reading that 1-1 1/2 out on the idle screw is where you want to be mine is turned in further than this... Does that mean I am running rich? Idle screw in richens (decrease) and in leans (increases) is this correct? Little confused cuz Kellys tuning guide says the opposite?

Also what rod should the 250/300 have? Mine has the MS-3 rod is this just for the 125 bikes or all? Pretty sure the MS-3 rod is 125/144/165 special rod right?

    how it works
if the idle mixture screw is after the slide as in closer to the engine you are adjusting the amount of gas so in is leaner
if the idle mixture screw is before the slide or to say farther from the engine you are adjusting the air break so in is richer

I think your getting confused with a air screw and a fuel screw , Lectron has neither only a idle / tick over screw.

On my lectron the richer I make the rod the more turns in the idle has to go and mine is nowhere near the recommended settings from Kelly and I think he only give these settings as a guide line, personaly I try to get the idle/ low end set perfectly first and this seems to give a good setting then move onto the power jet for the top end.

sorry about that, I don't own a Lectron but see the typical carb confusion regularly
