I bought a Strada from a friend a few month ago. I had this LED headlight meant for another bike. I decided to install it on the TR650 (the original H4 bulb seemed quite old and weak). A few days later, I had that infamous EWS error and had to call for a recovery vehicle. Long story short, after a few swaps of bulbs, the culprit was without any doubt the LED bulb. In some way I feel lucky to have survived what could have been a death sentence. ;-)
I have an led bulb on my Strada that always throws EWS errors, I just flip the high beam on when turning the key and there's no further issues. Only problem I've had was post COVID after not riding for months and forgetting to put the high beams on
i have a led on my terra. only time i had the ews error appear was a few days after installing the light as i was riding in heavy rain. if you start the bike before the ews error shows on the dash you're good to go. after that i just moved the led driver around a bit and never had a problem
