I called Leo Vince USA today and they will be coming out with a two into one exhaust for the TE630 in approximately 3 weeks. They are taking orders now. I think the retail price for the full titanium system is approximately $1169. Check with your local dealer as they may be having a promotion on Leo Vince exhaust. I have not seen any pictures.
According to www.leovince.com the single Ti system is 17lb lighter than stock and produces an extra 3 hp. The dyno charts and pictures for the stock and Ti systems are on the site for anyone interested. Dyno chart shows approx. 55hp @ 8000rpm for the 630 with stock exhaust. I assume this is rear wheel HP.
Looking at the charts the best increase comes from the duel slip on's. The full system only makes more HP above about 6800rpm. and how much time do you spend there? and the duels give a lot more torque from 4000-6000 rpm. I would like to see the results from the Arrows
As would I. Someone on the forum has them installed; I can't remember whom. I'm also curious about how much weight you save with the Arrows. They come with an ECU update as well. If they're producing more power and/or torque, and have a similar weight benefit, they might be the best bang for the buck.
Organ Donor has the twin Arrows on his SM630. I am not interested in power gains but would like to reduce top heavy weight. A single exhaust would help with this.
+1. a couple horse power here or there is really not important to me either. i was just washing my bike and and looking at the exhaust and was wondering to my self if i could just take a hack saw to the header where the pipe splits off and then weld a cap on it or something. i'd rather not have to dishe out $1100 to get down to one pipe.
I apologize `cos I intended to weigh the old set and the new. But was helped by a very knowledgeable mate who was a bit pressed for time and my bathroom scales just would not indicate low weights. All I can say is that the twin Arrows are MUCH lighter than the stock ones. I just do not know how they got the Euro acceptance stamps (and don´t much care!). And I haven´t been able to dyno or weigh the whole bike with the new setup (twin Arrows and the p/u kit) yet as I can´t find a dyno here in Berlin . But am well satisfied with the result (maybe just a bit too twitchy and powerful for hooning in and out of city traffic ... but I´m sure I´ll get used to that. You just can´t have too much power). If anyone´s looking for a reliable, every day commuting bike with excellent brakes, suspension and plenty of power, I can recommend the 630 without any reservations (sorry ... I don´t like the steering stops that don´t let you turn tightly).
So I think i'm going to seriously start looking into getting down to one pipe via just hacking off the second pipe where it splits off and welding the hole shut. the next main thing i need to find out is if the te610 muffler is the same between the 610 and 630. the entire system from the header out tot he left pipe looks identical based on visual check/comparison of pics. Is there anyone in the sf bay area that has a stock slipon lying around that i can borrow for a couple of hours to try to check the fit with my 630? or if you have the entire stock system, i'd like to do a check to see if it will fit. please pm me if you do. thnx!
Wishfull thinking...that is not rear wheel HP. I watched a dyno run with the exhaust changed and the rear wheel numbers were less than 45.The 3hp gain is correct though.
or differences in how different dyno's pulls the hp numbers as well as environmental factors that can affect the reading. you shouldn't be concerned with the actual number itself but the berfore and after reading after tuning/modding. or if the actual hp number is that important to you keep taking it to a different tuner until you get the reading you want.
i also have the twin arrows and no i didn't weigh the difference, no dyno runs either, but i can tell u the bike runs a 100% better, lost alot of weight, no more hot engine/cans n the bike flat out rips now. kinda loud but sounds soooo good !! perfect for me don't think they have spark arrester's if thats a problem for you
ha all remember.................... a leo vince exhaust is not going to give you lots of power it is a exhaust that is designed to smooth out the power delivery and pull all the way to 9,000 rpm and drop a few ponds on the stock exhaust and looks trick........... leo vince has a spark arrestor down in the muffler that is non removable unless u pull apart the exhaust and cut it out it is not straight through like the arrow ps..... $$$$$$$$$$$ 1,100.00 for 3hp is it worth it
twin Arrow on my SM630 i just installed my new Arrow pipes and the bike sings the way it was meant too. The problem is i am getting a flashing neutral light. the bike runs great but they say a need to run Diags on it to find out what is wrong. Anyone else have this problem?
YES! The green neutral light flashes when the P/U kit is installed. Suppose it would be possible to get the wiring sorted to stop it flashing. But you get used to it. Might be just trying to tell you that it´s happy.
Te630 I have them on my 2011 TE 630...Bill at BMP had them installed before i bought it from him. Also have power up kit.My first Husky in 30 years. Nice machine.
No issues with neutral light after installing my pu kit. Just replaced lambda sensor plug with one from kit and plugged exhaust. Flashing light indicates FI problem. I would check pu plug for loose connection. flashing light
