LHRB without the auto clutch

    I have always wanted a LHRB but do not really want an auto clutch. Due to an ankle injury I may not get my full range of movement back on my braking foot for a while which has me even more interested.

    Recently I saw a way to do it, too bad it is so expensive. I would have to get a hydro clutch which would make the price even higher.

    I had an idea for a more simple design. Basically use the first half of the lever travel for the clutch then at an adjustable point have the lever start to engage the rear brake. The clake might be better though.

    Does anyone know of a cheaper option to the clake?

    Is this for your 125? If it is send me a pm and I can walk you through how to make a dual actuated rear brake both lever and foot pedal with a 2 finger clutch. You will have to modify your existing rear master cylinder but it isn't too difficult. You will then only need to buy the left hand master cylinder/brake line combo with a 2 finger lever for your clutch.

    Hi, NWRider! How are your feet healing up?

    I have nothing to add as far as the LHRB goes, but it sounds like you're in good hands with Walt:) I just wanted to give you a heads up on the PivotPegz. I broke my ankle pretty bad awhile back and lost quite a bit of my range of motion. The PivotPegz provided me with some badly needed relief. I've gotten really used to them and now I don't even notice them at all...until I ride a bike without them. They were worth every penny I paid and then some:thumbsup:

    Walt - just to make sure I am clear here, I want to be able to have a LHRB and lock up the rear wheel without killing the bike. Normally that requres an auto clutch but the clake works the clutch with the same lever as the brake so the clutch is not engaged when hard braking is done.

    I am not sure if I would keep the foot pedal also. It would be nice but it seems that most people have a hard time getting a firm feel. Also it is more weight. Another complecation is I am not sure if I can use a brake with an external resivour? Or is that only a problem if I want to retain the foot pedal?
