Hi all, I have an 09 te510 and I was just wondering if anyone has any suggestions of where to get a less bulky license plate holder to replace the stock one, and also a different tail light that still hooks up to the original wiring harness, thanks!

Bought one of these for my TXC - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Motorcycle-...Parts_Accessories&hash=item3ccedc2ef8&vxp=mtr
Its super low profile, integrated turn signals, and license plate lights. Looks really nice on the bike. I have pics if you want them. It wont plug into the stock harness though. U can remove the individual wires from the OEM wiring block and put them in something like this http://www.radioshack.com/family/in...erName=Cable type&filterValue=6-positionWorks great and looks factory. Make sure to buy female and male connectors

I broke off most of the black portion, some of the black part has remained at the top, I used some steel strap with holes, bolted to the underside with woodscrews into the white underside, and the stock taillight mounting bolts. I used fender washers and pop-rivets to attache the plate. The LED Husky taillight is an upgrade and has been a good performer for 2 years.

Im definitely gona have to see what kind of mounting options i can come up with, with some steel and a welder.

Ask and you shall receive! I used a old plastic under mount running light bracket I had laying around to bolt it to. There are probably a million ways to mount this unit. It weighs next to nothing. Keep in mind that Im sure its not as bright as the stocker. Looks very clean IMO. Cant say how it would hold up off road. On road it handles stoppies and wheelies quite well!:D If you want pics of it lit up i can get those tomorrow.

Yeah I definitely love the look of that, very clean, sleek, and no where near as bulky as the stock one. I'm going to order one of those L.E.D. strips and try to work it out. How was the wiring on it, is everything there? And it looks like it'll be able to withstand off road abuse, it doesn't seem flimsy at all. I also noticed that you have a nice set of tires on your bike, I've been looking for a separate set of rims to mount up so I can swap them when I ride on the street, have you done that or are they just a street tire. Sorry for the million questions.

Noob here who recently tackled this problem on a new-to-me 2011 TE250. I bought it from a guy in PA and street legal laws are different than here in VA. In short, I needed a lighted plate (and turn signals (if present) have to be 9 inches or greater apart--I ditched 'em all). I happened to have the required parts in a box in a garage from a "tail-dectomy" I had done a long-ago-sold street bike, but a quick search on the WWW reveals what I've done can easily be dupilicated. First, I used a license plate "bracket" (a plate) that intended for holding the plate and inspection stickers or tags below it. I can't find the exact one I used, but this one should work. https://www.denniskirk.com/inspection-sticker-plate-ch0620.p490231.prd Mount it upside-down from the way it's pictured. Some Dremel-lizing and slight bending was required for me. For the plate light, I used this http://www.radiantz.com/index1.html?136.html&1. Crappy shot of the finished product below but you can make out that I was able to squeeze some wire loom in next to the taillight to help protect the plate frame's wiring. Not sure if it'll stand the test of time, but it should get me legal. I'll find out later this week when I get it inspected.

Thats a clean look as well. The only problem with the 09's is they didnt have that white plate that was exposed after you ripped off the whole black assembly. I found dennis kirk has an entire UFO tailight and fender kit, looks super clean for around $63. I also found the universal kit on sicass, not sure which one to go with just yet.

Sorry I just saw your post. Wiring was no big deal and everything was present. You could just splice the wires but I bought the proper connector. Not flimsy but has enough flex that a fall over shouldnt break anything. Those tires are Avon Distanzia's. There are a couple sizes they make that are a special SM compound (softer). I didnt want to spend the extra money but after shopping around and reading reviews, these were the only option for on road performance with good grip on gravel and dirt roads. The wheels are Warps 9's. Some people havnt had good luck with the fitment on their Huskies. My dealer really helped me out with making sure I got the proper measurements to make sure they would fit. The only issue I had was that the wrong front brake caliper was sent. They didnt know I had the KYB forks.
