125-200cc linkage seal direction

    Just took the seals and bearings out of my 2012 wr125 and all the seals had the flat face inwards. I can sea the theory behind keeping water out rather than grease in but is this common and which is correct?

    That's how I install mine. Not saying it's correct, just how I do it, and for the reason you mention above. I'd rather have the spring side on the outside.

    The theory behind oil/grease seals is that you create a positive pressure behind the seal. That is what keeps the crap out. Why try and re-invent the wheel?
