Got my 06 610sm a month or so ago and the key drives me nuts. It's a little key that is almost impossible to turn with gloves on. Not that it takes force but it's just too small. Does anyone know of a longer bodied key?

My rox risers make it even harder. Sorry I cant find a pic (yeah I know worthless without pics) but on my SMS630 I used a 3" piece of 3/4" auto heater hose. Stock key inserts in one end of the hose (squashed so the key just fits) then has a small hole drilled through the hose with a 3/16" bolt to secure the key. To keep the other end round I screwed in a 3/4" PVC end plug. Took all of 5 minutes to build two. Cam.

You're a life saver mate, that has been driving me nuts. I tried putting some pipe over the stock key and hammering it flat, but apart from looking inelegant it really doesn't have a consistent grip on the key. I'm going to roll with your idea....Any idea what key blank is needed for a 630?

    Cheers
