Picked up a nice clean 09 WR 250 (US import, I am located in Australia), to keep my 11 310 company. I had a 2001 WR 250 that I sold to get the 310, really regretted it so got I another one.

Came with a couple of nice goodies:
    Enduro Engineering Radiator Braces
    BRP frictionless chain slider.
    Near new supersprox.
2010 TE radiator shrouds (with moulded in decals)
Rear muffler that looks like it is off a 2011?- Pipe looks brand new-no dings/scratches at all.
Standard fork seal leak from the Zokes!

One question I have for you peeps in the US, did these come with any lighting/wiring at all, all that is on mine is a front light?
Over here we need stop/tail light and headlight, horn, mirror for recreational rego, so I will need to source these (Halls have the parts relatively cheap-compared to parts prices over here )

Looks like it may have been a race bike?
Has stickers from Upstate Cycles, so I may contact them and see if I can get some history.
Won't get a chance to ride it for 2 weeks, can't wait.

Can you get rec rego that easily? Unfortunately we can't get it here in Qld and you would need a compliance plate for normal rego. I have thought about bringing a bike from the US, as you know there is a momumental difference in price and it would certainly be worthwhile. Congratulations on your new purchase!

Luckily in Victoria, we can get rec reg pretty easily, and no comliance needed. And it's cheap, about $75/year
    Here's what you need:
    Eligibility
Any two-wheeled motorcycle can be registered as a recreation vehicle.

To operate a recreation vehicle you must be at least 18 years of age and you must also hold a motorcycle learner permit or licence to ride on a road.

    Minimum construction requirements
    All recreation motorcycles must have:
    • a rear vision mirror fitted to the right hand side
    • brakes fitted to both wheels, capable of working independently if one brake fails
    • one head lamp
    • one rear red tail lamp
    • one rear red brake lamp
    • one rear white number plate lamp
    • a silencing device which restricts the noise level to 94 dBA or less
    • an appropriate horn or warning device wired into the motorcycle's electrical system
    • a chain guard that protects the rider from the front chain sprocket

When I got an 08 it only came w/ a head light. they gave me a crap rear light but wasn`t installed, had to do it myself. Didn`t though, I only do HS or CC racing.

The muffler looks the same as the stock one that came on mine. I have a fmf w/ moto muffler (no spark arrst)

The 310 is set up just the way I like it and it is great.

I just pulled the exhaust off the WR to get the rear shock out (to put on a heavier spring) and had a peek inside the exhaust port.
Looks like a brand new piston/rings-bargain!!!

    Nice one!
The U.S, spec muffler is different to ours, I think its because the Yanks need a spark arrestor(?)
How much did it set you back to ship it over?
Rec rego is a good thing, it would be unnecessary here in SA coz there is no bush we can legally trail ride in:(, the only reason my 300 is rego'd is for SM duty

It was actually already imported by a guy who imports/sells ATV's and large quads here in Melbourne, so all the duties/gst/hassles were already done. Just needed to haggle on price as he didn't mention it was an import when he advertised it. The muffler doesn't have a spark arrester in it as far as I can tell, just a sort of diffuser cone near the outlet that doesn't look to choke it up at all, no wire screen as you would expect?

That is a turbin core spark arrestor.
