is the 03 still good or outdated? can I convert to 165? what's a reasonable price? would I need a wr ignition to run lights?
    what else should I know.

What country are you in ? A CR would need a different stator for lights. You should be able to convert to a 165. The condition will dictate whether the bike is good or not. If it is clean I would give it a try.

The 03 if in good condition is a solid bike and doesn't give away much to the newer generation. That year works great for conversion to a 165.

It's probably an '02 or '04, if in the US or Canada. I don't think anyone got any '03 2 strokes and very few 4 strokes were '03 models. The only '03 bikes in the US were TE610E's and I have one.
