Looking good for getting '88 510TE. TX/TE differences?

Well, it's looking real good for me now owning a second Husqvarna. The bike is a 1988 510TE. Cosmetically, it has been messed with some, in attempts to refinish it, but does appear a real clean bike and sounds great.

I was curious what the difference is between a TX and TE, especially by 1988?

Was kinda assuming X, would be MX, and E enduro. Close?

Also curious just what that equates to, between the models.

Appreciate any and all input, thanks much.

Ahh OK, wasn't thinking of the TC. Not to familiar with the 4 strokes. Suppose I will have to change that real quick here, if I land the new bike.

I'm assuming differences were just like on the 2 strokes. TX and TE 6spd trans, and spark arrestors. TE originally would have had front and rear lights, as well.

OK, done deal now. Bike may be here right before Christmas.

She's been messed with appearance wise, but I already atleast have some mint correct shrouds, and a seat.

Here's a sneak peek. Almost finally have a bike worthy of putting in the pic thread, yahoo........

You are right about the above. The TX also had longer travel because there used to be a travel limitation for the ISDE, so the TEs had limited travel. The TE would also have an odometer and maybe even a speedo back then.
