Saturday November 3rd, at the famed Loretta Lynn location… For November the weather could not have been better, rained a few days before and the temp at race time was right below 70 degrees. Bike traveled down with Jed Haines and we flew thru Nashville. The race was on Saturday due to a national enduro in Alabama on Sunday… The way the series points were shaping up there was a strong possibility of moving into 3rd, and a remote possibility of 2nd. My instructions were to ride hard and let's see what happens… The 4 Stroke B Lites line had 15 bikes with the usual cast of characters. The starting row rotation had them at the front of the B lineup, around row 8. Had another good start; 3rd or 4th to the corner, under cut the carnage and claimed the hole shot at the line… Check this photo link; starts at pic #162, hit 'next' up thru #175...tells the story quite well. http://racedaypix.photoreflect.com/store/Orderpage.aspx?pi=03VE0127050161&po=161&pc=290 First lap thru had him in forth, 12 seconds separated first thru forth. He moved into third on lap 3 and just kind-of paced the leaders. He ended up fading a bit on the last two laps, but maintained to finish 3rd. Check how clean the bikes stayed...very fast and consistant track... 'IF' he had finished 2nd he would have been tied for 2nd in points and I believe his wins would have given him 2nd for the year, but not to be… So, year end results…Not quite where he wanted to be, but a good run considering he started the year with a broken collarbone. - 2nd in the 250B class in the AMA East Hare Scramble Championship Series - 3rd in the 4 Stroke B Lites class in the GNCC Series Link to GNCC points... http://www.racer-results.net/results/gncc/2012/seriespoints.asp?s=5&c=68 The '12 TXC250 ran great all year with the normal upkeep that would be required of any race bike to keep it in the hunt. The hard parts of the Husky survived well; the motor stayed strong all year and the valves never moved… Andy and I would like to thank all who followed along with the 2012 journey. Simply stated...the encouragement and support at the cafe is second to none... Special Thanks to the sponsors… Toy Tech Cycles, Husqvarna NA, FAR, FLY Racing, Wiseco, Cycra, RK Excel, Pro Circuit, MAXXIS Tires and the good people at the café…
