I think I'm going to do TKC-80's on my Strada, but I won't have spoked wheels for a while (if, ever). So, I need tubeless for now. I'm wondering if the 110/80 (taller) or 120/70 (wider/shorter) is a better fit with the low fender. Obviously, the 120/70 will have a little more fender clearance. (I'm keeping the low fender for now.) Suggestions?
I can not help you with the clearance part of that question, but I would suggest you look at the rim specs of those 120/70-19 tires. You have a 2.5" wide rim. I believe the 120/70-19 size are a recent development for bikes like the new BMW 1200GSW and KTM 1190 that now have 3" wide front rims. They are also matched with the new wider 170/60-17 rear tires
Thanks. I'm thinking the 110/80 will fit better, as far as bending the sidewall and that sorta stuff.
Match to the stock size (110/80-19 TL 59Q). Tons of clearance on the Strada low fender. I hit some pretty serious mud on my CDR trip, and didn't have any issues whatsoever with the mud clearance. **Edit: refer to this post for a picture: Here we go. Best tires
