You WR guys know that the lower shock rocker bearings are a pain and require constant servicing. I ran across an alternative bearing on the SYNERGY SEAL site. Here's a link.

I've got one on order and I'll post more on it when I get it.

Just thought you might like to know.

Read the whole thread, as there's pics of installing zerks on the swingarm pivot also.

I just drilled and tapped mine and the SYNERGY bushing showed up yesterday. It's just simply a little plastic tube that replaces the needle bearing. I'm going to drill a small hole in it, for grease to enter, and press it in.

Looks like it should be at least as good as the bearing, since I'm constantly finding it rusted up.

It should also work better for drilling a grease port in. Drilling the needle bearing case without damaging bearings and cage is pretty tough.

Got mine all mount up and it seems nice. The polymer they used it very hard. I drilled the grease port in it and it wasn't like drilling your average plastic. More like drilling a bowling ball.

I added a very slight relief to the middle of the bushings to allow grease to flow in and pool.

Now it's just a test of time, to see how it holds up.

I think the all balls kit replaces it with a roller bearing.

Yeah, I heard that, after the fact.

But, I like the fact that the poly bearing allows me to make my grease fitting work. I wasn't able to put a port for grease to enter the bearing race without screwing up the bearing.

I'd probable run into the same thing with the All Balls bearing.

BTW- I do use All Balls for all my other bearings and the swingarm kit is a way better set up than the stock parts, IMO.

Working great, actually. I haven't took it apart for a few rides, because I was keeping an eye on it at first and it was doing great. So, I've eased up on the maintenance schedule.

    Good stuff.

Do you use the bushing that the needle bearing rides on or does it ride on the bolt ?
