Old KLX250 I had laying around for this. Owner wanted a 4 stroke. OK. Never had an RM of this vintage. Will address some stuff and use it as a loaner / thrasher. Anyone had one and care to comment / heads up on issues etc? 1989 RM250.
I had one for quite a few years, that was DTX'd and used it for ice racing. Pretty bullet proof. I converted it back to MX trim and sold it to a friend. Needs a FWW and some fork massaging to be a decent woods bike.
Yes I hear they are a little abrupt. The forks need some work as they don't want to move, somethings up. Thanks.
Are those pieces of mini-blinds instead of fork guards? Does it have new plastics everywhere but the rear fender? It's cool looking. Why did bikes come with such small foot pegs?
Mini blinds, ha ha. Old school baby. The bike is 25 years old and actually qualifies for some vintage revolution class. Yeah the pegs are just that, pegs.
Looks pretty clean. Hell as long as it runs well you've got the skills to dial everything else. No stickers makes it a blank slate to make your own or old school repli-racer.
Dude! You need to get offline and in your truck and start driving east..... To see Jay Hall and buy a bike!
I'm sure when that bike is done, it will be something cool to ride. Vintage rides are always cool to me.
Here you go Kelly.... http://fullfloater.com/ Randy hawkins won a few National Enduro Championships on these bad boys... RMX stickers or not!
Too late! "Shane sporting a new 2014 TC250. Got our last one but many more deals to be had. Shane raced it last weekend and won! Way to go Shane."
...and Steve Hatch. I REALLY want one of these. Was the first bike I rode with real suspension and it blew me away. Still one of my favorite bikes ever.
