I just installed APE MCCT on my 610. I measured out the distance of 11 clicks on the ACCT and marked the thread on my MCCT. That way, I'd know when I need to replace the cam chain. See the blue mark on the tread? When that blue mark hits the locking nut, that's equivalent to 11 clicks. I noticed that the MCCT doesn't require as much pressure on the chain to do the job. It's probably pushing on the cam chain guide 7mm less than the ACCT. Here's a video. I'm not used to Huskies yet but it always seem WAY too noisy compare to my past sportbikes and DRZ400SM.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ALMShJV4h08&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL
Does the 630 have the auto-tensioner, and will it likely suffer the same accelerated cam chain wear as the 610?
Yes it's got an auto tensionser, but so far I haven't heard any tales of early chain wear on the 630... It is a completely different head...
Someone tried to remove the ACCT on the 630 and it's a completely different setup. There are no clicks to count.
The ACCT on the 630 is identical to every other bike ACCT I've ever worked on, honda, yamaha, etc... Of course, this is my first Husky :P
