So I did bleed the innerchamber of my Marzocchi 50 TC (or CC), but how much should the bladder be pre expanded? What exactly does pre expanding do to the handling? If it's pre expanded to much could I expect a harsh feel? Wouldn't it be better if it wasn't pre expanded at all (just free from air).
I've read that article numerous times, it isn't very informative however at least it doesn't answer my basic question. I have enough experience with these forks (rebuilding that is), I know the bleeding procedure and I've done quite a few. What I'd like to know is how much the bladder should be pre expanded (fully extended), and what would happen if it expanded to much (but not so much it fouls on inner leg/tube).
That article says to 'extend the cartridge rod and fill the chamber to the top' ... That's all I ever did when playing with the oil in the inner chamber.. Wish I had more to give ya, but that's it ... That process always seemed to work for me ... -- With my memory being tested here, and with all that said, extending that rod out of the chamber contracted the bladder I thought... The diameter of the bladder got smaller. Pushing the rod up wards, making it shorter, expanded the bladder. So I guess I do not under the terms correctly Good luck on your work ...
