    i have a problem with the idle of my 2002 wr 250 because is high.the adjustment on the cable is all the way in, and if i close the air screw the bike still run great.if i open the air screw 1.5 turns the bike idle go higher. the carburetor is the stock one.

    Did you try adjusting the idle screw on the carburetor?

    The idle adjuster is on the lefthand side of the carb, just above and slightly in front of the gas line pipe. It is locked in place by an 8 mm lock nut. Usually, adjusting it so the end of the screw is flush with the top of the nut gets good results. You need to have some slack in the cable adjustment, so that there is 3 mm of play at the throttle grip. Never use the cable to adjust the idle.
