Sup guys, long time no read.

I've got a little problem here:
I wanted to change my engine oil today, pulled the drain plug, but only 250ml oil came out
So I wondered where the rest could be and opened the right engine cover. And there it was! I then refilled the engine with 2 litres of fresh oil, started it up and let it run for 10 minutes. I then drained the engine once more and again only some 250-ish ml came out.
So I wondered wether the oil pump worked at all. I removed the hose that connects the pump to the cylinder head and let the engine crank over. Only air was coming out of the hose. I then removed the oil pump cover.. and again only air was coming out when cranking over..

Does anybody have any idea what's the problem here? The pump itself seems to work, but it doesn't move oil :confused:

Clogged right side filter screen? Blown pump seal? clogged drain passage in the sump?

There are two drain plugs, one of which only drains a small amount of oil.

I gave him at least that much credit, haha....

Yeah, you have to pull both drain plugs.

Also, bike has to stand upright for a minute or two before oil finds it's level.

Also- it takes quite a bit of turning the engine over to finally see oil coming out of the upper banjo fitting at the cylinder.

God I feel stupid now. I've had the bike sitting in the garage for like 2 years and haven't touched it since. Thus I totally forgot that this engine has 2 drain plugs. And since the bike was on the stand I couldn't see the second plug.

Also thanks Theo, I reassembled the pump, this did the trick.

I'll ride to the next beer garden now haha  Thanks guys
