Some friends of mine just got back from there. Looked like a lot of fun. Some day I am going to go, but I don't plan to ride Five Miles Of Hell.:D

Welcome to CafeHusky, TYTE250  Congrats on the new 250, too!

I'm not from Moab but have ridden southern Utah quite a few times. It is one of my very favorite places on the planet to ride:thumbsup: I really enjoy the White Wash area and the San Rafael Swell, too.

I am usually on a 2-week ride in Utah at this time of year, but a sick cat is preventing me from going this year. I'm pretty bummed, but I'll be 100% healed from my previous injuries next year so it'll be more fun anyway.

Have a great time and be sure to post up some photos and a ride report when you return!

I'm sure I have some photos somewhere, although when in Hell one is usually more concerned with falling to one's doom rather than documenting the carnage. Besides, I don't want to hijack this thread any more than I already have :busted: If you really want to see some more photos, I guess I could start up another thread of my own...

And yeah, DirtDame, a trials bike is the perfect machine for 5MOH!

Interestingly enough....Moab...and also Kanab..were the key spots we were going to hit on our "bust loose kick off spring riding in the USA tour"

but weather thwarted our plans....next year for sure

I really love that kind of terrain...not sure about the "five miles of hell"

would have been 1500mi of hell for Dave listening to my singing during the drive down :lol:

I just got back from Moab and am still smiling. :thumbsup:I was there for Cruise Moab which is a Toyota Land Cruiser event so I also got some 4-wheeling in along with riding the 250. i was a little worried since I have ZERO dirt bike experience and I was riding solo so I opted to ride very populated trails. I also chose to ride trails that I have been on in either my Land Cruiser or mountain bike so I wouldn't get lost. Here is a quick report:

Thursday - I rode the 12 mile slick rock bike trail twice. Lots of great scenery and fun climbing. I have ridden this trail many times on my mountain bike but this was the first time on a dirtbike. What a blast...

Friday - Drove the Land Cruiser on Kane Creek. This is a great trail with lots of small stream crossings. While it was very fun driving it I was wishing I was on the te250.

Saturday - It was raining very hard so I took the Land Cruiser on a quick run through Fins and Things. The rain cleared out about 2:00 or so. I took the te250 out for some more fun. I rode Fins and Things on the bike and was feeling pretty confident so I decided to ride Hells Revenge. Hells Revenge was the highlight of the day......very fast and steep slick rock.

All in All I am very happy with the bike and cannot wait to get back on it. Im headed back to Moab in 6 weeks for another long weekend. Anybody want to join me?

Thanks for the Moab write-up! It makes me want to go back to Moab. I really had a good time on Fins `n Things and the Slickrock Trail. There's nothing like 110% traction, eh? Sounds like you're groovin' on the TE250:)

    Did you get any photos?
