At the recent NE gathering, R_Little from TT gave me 2 pieces of advice.

    1. Turn up my idle.
    2. Twist the throttle.

I now have 650 miles on the bike using George's break-in method and rode the Moonshine Enduro last weekend. I adjusted the idle up a bit while on the trail and wow, what a difference! I could ride at very slow speeds without stalling and this made a huge difference in those bike eating rock gardens. Had a great ride! Also, when the going got tough, I just twisted the throttle and the bike really responded well. I cheered the bike through many rock gardens and little hills(up and down) and got a 3rd place plaque! I'm not kidding, I verbally cheered my bike several times. Rich, thanks again for the advice and Joe Chod, thanks for the entire event!

I didn't place 3rd as far as ECEA points because I only made to about a mile before check 13 of 14. However, only 2 C Vet riders finished ahead of me and a few didn't finish at all. The club was kind enough to encourage C riders and awarded me the 3rd place plaque. Tri-County did the same thing for me and announced me for 4th place in their run even though I didn't make the finish on that one. In case you are wondering why I didn't finish that final mile to check 13 and the easier run to check 14, I had cramping in my leg for the few miles before that and had gotten lost(missed an arrow) for the third time and just had enough for the day. Up until the third time missing an arrow I was determined to cross the finish line. This was a very technical and rocky course and it's the best I ever rode so I'm proud anyway.
