I was really surprised how low the compression was. I'm going to have my head cut and bump the compression next time I have it off. I think that alone will really wake up the motor.

I love the mild nature of the motor, but it could use a little more grunt off the bottom IMO.

You choice of where to start this thread is perfect.

One of the main reasons for cafehusky is to have a nice place to visit throughout the site. The general idea is to have people feel comfortable visiting the newsroom and all the other places.

A nice laid back environment where everyones opinions are respected. :)

the best advices are the domed piston (fits the original cylinder head perfectly) and the cr250 ignition.

What does the CR ignition do for it? different curve?

Yes and lighter FWW ... It should help untame the beast for much faster revving ...

Works both ways ... the WR ignition tames the CR and the CR ignition brings the WR to life ;)

My CR250 was always a hand full in the woods but I could never afford this package for it ... Some just add a FWW to the CRs to calm them down some for the woods ...

So it's all about the FWW. Not a remedy to the pitiful little spark the WR's ignition puts out...

Not sure about the strength of the spark itself but it probably advances the spark curve much quicker along with the lighter FWW ... Its gonna make the engine REV faster for sure... I'm sure it makes a noticeable difference in the power delivery of the bike ...
