My Local Husky Dealer (MotoTech in Boise) dropped them due to the cost of the BMW tool for the 650's . Feel a little gutted about this.. bought my first bike 07 TE250 from him back in 2006... He's going with Husaberg (in stock) and can get GasGas and Beta (not in stock at the moment). On the bright side he sold the line to the BMW shop down the road... I remember trying to buy everything I could from him in the early days , I was worried he wouldn't stay in business it was kind of lean at that time... Now he's got CanAm and Artic Cat and I think that's where he makes his Margins.... ATV's / SnowMobiles/ PWC's Don't like change and don't like this... Oh well.....
That snow machine business is tough...one year with a weak winter and those guys end up with a warehouse full of last year's models and no buyers.
I do a little biz with them and seems like a very good shop. If he is going Berg he might be going right back to husky.
Think He might be up a creek if the Husaberg rumour holds... as he sold his Husky to the BMW dealer down the road... Called them and they seem giddy to have Husky and much more so a 2 stroke line... That being said they are good honest folks and will bend over backward to help a customer and I will continue deal with them when I can....
A little hard to believe any new Husky or Husaberg dealers are being signed at this juncture, but there it is.... very strange!
I glad someone has vision.... although these two dealers have a different one for sure. Strange.... in that dealer development was put on hold for both brands when the deal became public. This must have unfolded just before that announcement, as Husky Dealers received their Moss tools just before that time. My local Husky Dealer was hoping he could send his back, when he heard about the sale. He didn't do the big buy in on 650's, so had paid maximum price for the tool.
