I love that new bike buzz. Just picked up the 300 today from my friends at MotoForza. Tooled up and down my street a little bit tonite for a quick shakedown. Bike pulls really good for not having touched the stock settings. I'm going to need to dial in the jetting tho. Its a bit boggy on the low end. I'll be taking her out to my local riding area this weekend for a more thorough test. Interested in the fastway guard if anyone has any input it would be appreciated. IMG_0077.JPG IMG_0078.JPG

The fastway link guard is great if you are looking to lower your bike. If you are planning to keep the stock height I would go with the slavens, it's half the price. I have the slavens and I love it

or you can go cheapo like me and use the obie link guard. with no worries, really. trust me my crew rides pretty extreme stuff, . you can see the impact dent in the obie and heck it is sacrificial so when it wears too much I will throw on another one

Crew member andy uses the fastway link on his FE350, just because he had it from his XC oh yeah its orange. thing is bullet proof, his is the non sdjustable one so same as OEM ratio/length/center

John, one thing you and I have going is our ability to get our carcasses to the finish or at least further along than the others we compete against.

They are all pretty good. I went with the slavens over the Obie only because I thought the blue link guard looked nicer lol. I was also ready to buy the tm design skid plate but I am pretty happy with the stock one surprisingly

    First ride report:
Technical single track the bike is magic. Throttle blips the front wheel effortlessly. Stock 13-50 gearing perfect for this type of riding. Bike feels really balaced flowing hairpins it's really easy to transfer and turn quickly. Low end power is bountiful and pulls really linear (yellow PV spring) so it's easy to control the power. Top speed maxed around 65 on fire roads (going to play with sprocket sizes to find desert gearing). Really light touch compared to my 511. I'm extremely stoked!

I would think that your top speed should be higher with the TE. My FC250 tops at at 71mph. Maybe your main jet is off?

My 2012 Husaberg TE250 is geared 13/52 for tight/technical North East woods. I've seen 79 MPH and had throttle to spare. That's not a dream either... recorded on an accurately calibrated ICO Checkmate, that isn't off 1/100th on a measured mile. Something isn't quite right.

Not broken in yet? Not sure about modern 2 strokes but my 449 took almost 500 miles to loosen up and feel it true oats.

Running rich premix for break in. I didn't hold the throttle wide open for very long so it probably is not true representation of top speed. It certainly doesn't pull forever on the over rev like my 511with the PCV. Haven't played with the jetting yet so it could be a factor as well.

Just wonder if the wheel size is off or something.... wide ratio should do in the 70s somewhere....

I have hit 70 a few times with mine. Seems like it would definitely go faster but I backed off. I don't really like to go over 50-55 if I'm on the road. My sprockets and jetting is all stock
