250-500cc My new IMS tank has arrived! (2000 WR250)

It has been a long wait, as these are special order tanks...

I could be wrong, but I think that the 4 stroke tanks fit the WR, but they carry their weight up higher than this tank?

It doesn't look like there is room for a 4 stroke motor under my tank...

I dont think they fit all models as the 4 strokes have the main bolt near the steering damper and some of the 2 strokes (like my 09 300) have a bolt that goes thru the middle of the tank which also doubles as the main seat holder bolt.

I want a IMS 3.4 gal tank for my 300 as I was told the 250 tanks fit but I cant talk to IMS because they dont have an email address listed on their site and I cant seem to phone them arrrrgh!.

I tried to work out what 3.4 US gallons is and the conversion I came up with on goggle is 12.87 litres. I was sure that my 2002 WR250 has a 12 litre tank anyway, seems like a lot of expense for under a litre extra. Or am I missing something, do the later models have a smaller tank? Would love a transparent tank like in the pics though just to see how much fuel left.

I Think my 09 has a 9ltr tank and IMS 12ltrs approx. I think its just peace of mind knowing you have that bit extra in there. I like the idea of a clear tank as well

I found one of the clear IMS 3.4 gal tanks for my 2000 WR 360 for a screaming deal 4 years ago. It is .5 gal bigger than the stock 2.9 gallon but the big thing for me was the ability to see the gas level. It also fits great and isn't any wider than the stock tank unlike the one I bought and quickly sold for my 06 WR 250.

Why does my 2002 WR250 only hold 2.45 gallons when I fill up to brim from empty? No way is it a 2.9 gallon tank....why is this?

They did make a smaller tank for the CR's and I wonder if you wound up with one of those.
