We just picked up a 2010 CR150 set up for the woods for my 15 yr old son.
So far it seems like a nice bike & I'm sure we will have plenty of questions.

I have a new WR125 / 165 on the way this weekend. I have loved my 2011 WR150 / 165. I figure it is time to get a new one so I can sell my current bike to someone who can enjoy it also.

He is very excited about the new bike, hope to try it out this weekend but first
we need to fix the stripped oil drain plug. Ugh! He has been working on it every night.
We plan to retap the hole from 14mm to 16mm & use a plug for a 4 stroke Husky.
    Anyone have expenience doing this???

Helicoil wont work in my 09

There isn't much to grab, and the threads are notched. I don't know how to explain it, but I took mine to a local mechanic whom I trust very much. He put a tine-cert (sp) in it, and it has held very well since. The only problem is there is no way to drain every drop of oil when doing oil changes, but it's better than leaking all the oil out on the trail!

You are right about the notched threads thats why I'm going to a 16mm plug. I thought of a Time-Sert but the oil would not all drain out then, I guess you can tip the bike from side to side to get it passed the insert??
    Wish me luck!
