Yes it is . As you can see the plastic 90 degree is broken . I'm not sure if just the fitting can be replaced , if it's even available . If not May have to get another master for this bike . I want to start this machine and try it but not without brakes working , just replaced the engine and really want to try this beast out . I'm hesitant to kick start this new engine as it's New and tight , want to roll it down a hill to start it but not without brakes .

Not an atk , it's a Maico . That's why I'm asking if it looks like any that husky may have used over the years . I've been looking at pictures of whiskies from different years to try and find a match or at least one that's close enough to use .I made a temporary fix to it so I did get that bike running but still looking for one to be more permanent . This bike will need good brakes as the engine in it is the 685 . Just wanted to hear it run .

As long as some unit can be mounted then all is needed is to be able to connect the plumbing. Such is the beauty of hydraulics. So much easier than mechanical linkages.

This one is about 40mm between centers , just trying to get one close to try . I've seen some pictures of husky's that have a similar master and would like to get an idea of what may match or be close .

the master you are looking for is also used on all husabergs 1995 to 2007 and many years of ktm. the husaberg p/n is 140 022 01. unfortunetly the little plastic "90" is not a serviced item. the rubber grommet that holds it in place is not in the rebuild kit,so be nice to it when you pull it apart.the other option you can try is drill and tap the piece in the master to 1/16-27 npt then go to a decent industrial store and buy a barbed 90 degree fitting and screw it together. ATK was importing the big bore maicos in 2003,I think they were 640's or some thing like that. I rode behind Frank White on one of those things for for two days on the anual ATK trail ride. Any time you got close to him he would shower you with sand and rock roost and get used to bump starting the thing, we had to help push start it all weekend long

Thanks bora117 , that's what I've been trying to verify . On this master there is a number 4888 cast into the body , do you know if that is a model is part number ? Or maybe the numbers that have been stamped on it ? I started this engine last Friday to make sure it runs and purge the cooling system of air , took it for a quick ride in my yard , put it in gear and was just off idle , let the clutch out easy and proceeded to leave a trench in my yard . Just a short ride , not much room but WOW ! Vibrates when sitting but didn't notice any riding it , maybe paying too much attention to throttle control . Can't wait to try it in an open area .
thanks big bill , I may call Mitch to see if he has any and price . I did see some on line that look identical for $60 to $70 new , may suggest my friend go this route .

that 4888 looks like a casting number. the spare master I have has a good soft 90 degree fitting let me pull mine apart. If the part isn't to complicated I might be able to machine a few out of aluminum. give me a day or two to check it out.

I think it looks very much like the one on my 1986 KX250 so you might be able to use one from most any japanese dirt bike with rear disk
