Hi, I have a 1989 250 wxe that I believe has Marzocchi front forks, the bottom lugs have cracks where the axle bolts go through on both forks, been trying to find a decent set on bay, does anyone know other makes of bikes that use the 4054's that are on this bike. I would like to stay with the same forks if possible, also I have never disassembled forks before, so my knowledge is limited. Thx JW

I have some 1990 WXE 250 forks. They might be the same.

Oh, well I guess my referring to them as as 4054's was just due to there actual size as I mic'd them and the uppers were 54mm and the bottoms 40. I bought two Husky's from the seller and they're both titled as 91's although the one with the cracked fork lugs says, 89 manufactured by Cagiva on the vin tag and is obviously not a 91, as it has a rear drum and older body panels. the The manual that came them with them is for the 91 Husky, says the cr came with adjustable WP's and the wxe non adjustable Marzocchi's, so I assumed they were Marzocchi's but I could be wrong.

the 4045 was the original inverted forks
you could even find them in the Honda catalog as replacements back them

The forks on my 89 as well as he 91 are 4054 not 4045 but the real question, that I didn't do a good job asking was, I need a new set of fork lugs, mine are cracked, does anyone know of other manufacturers, possibly, ATK, KTM , that I could buy used forks off of and might interchange and bolt right on to my wheel and brake caliper. I've seen ATK forks that are the same size off of 89/90 406's that appear to be the forks on my bike but I don't know if the lugs are the same. As most of you guys know, which was news to me, is the lugs will come off but are not available new anywhere

yes they are 4054, the forks are the same but the "lug" as you call it is specific
I had a pair on my 87 Husky CR and can't even remember what they looked like anymore, the bottom that is
