Need help identifying a part.

    Here is the ONLY part that I do not remember taking off my bike, and I pretty have the thing completely together. I'm not sure what this is/where it goes, or even if it's part of the bike, but I found it in one of the tray's that had all the nuts and bolts/parts off the bike in it. Can anyone tell me what it is or where it goes?

    that was what I was thinking too, but my spedo cable is electronic with a magnet.
