need help mesh filter

    hi new here love the forem i need help with getting the double mesh filter back on my just purchased 1998 te 610e took it out to cleen after draining oil but will not go back in sticks out to much to put cover back on with the 2 bolts thanks

    Play with it a bit and it will go back in. The inner one will only go in one way, I think it's the smaller end that's on the inside and once you get it in, the outer one will slide right in over it.

    thanks will try again tommorow one way it fits over end cap 1st o ring thats the short end the other end wont push it in as far as i can but is sollid still stikin out to far cant tap it in it seems solid for some reason lol hammer time

    Put the screens in 1st a jiggle them until they are seated all the way in and then put the cover on.

    They seat on a lip on the inside of bike. You need to get it over the lip on the inside

    will have a look to moz cant see lip cos of some oil inside chamber need to clean it out better so can se lip also check to see if mesh out of shape a bit

    I usually slip them over the o-rings on the cap first and put it all in together, never had a problem.

    But yeah, no hammer....
