I would guess that you would have to check with some shipping lines. I believe you would have to drain the gas and oil and crate it up. Not sure what the expense would be. It may be cheaper to sell your bike and buy one when you get over as the overall expense may not be that much more....maybe a break even scenario. Again, I am not sure and hopefully someone with more knowledge will be able to offer better guidance.
Expeditors.com They specialize in this type of stuff. You may find cheaper but they are the best out there
Send this guy an email .... They shipped a bike for me to the Philippines without any hassles and a price lower than most I checked with... The bike will need to be crated which is no problem really just go to a dealer and get a crate ... The bike sits in there with the front tire \ handle bars removed ... You'll need the original title .... Drain out ~half the gas ... Deliver it somewhere in NY area ... Tim can explain the rest... tim@allisonshipping.com Timothy Whybrew Allison Shipping International, Inc. Tel: 562-435-7200 Fax: 562-435-7201 www.allisonshipping.com
I was thinking the same thing husky bom, a nice little WR 125 would be nice and with the dollar at 96 cents its food for thought
Found out about a mob that import to the gold cost and they are called geezers and the web site is http://www.geezers.com.au Kel
Buy a left over Husky from a dealer, buy that and bring it with you, sell it for double once you get here and you'll have plenty of cash. I have thought about this many times. All we would have to do here in aussie is buy 2 bikes from the states, sell one when it gets here and we make a profit. Free bike and money, just have to wait. Totally insane. Get me 2 of all the 2011 models, I'll sell one and make a hell of a lot of money.
Before you get too excited, you might wanna see what UR GOV has to say on the matter of importing bikes ...
+1 i would be curious to know how much taxe$$$$$$$ they will ask you when the bike get to your door or try to register it.
