  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

New 2011 TE310

Great forum! I bought a new 2011 TE310 about 3 weeks ago. Have 75 miles (80% dirt) on bike and I couldn't be happier with the Husky. One thing I have already ordered is new NON DOT tires. Bought Dunlop Geomax mx51's front and rear. I will report on them after a good ride. The stock Karoos are useless off road...just saps all confidence in anything resembling a corner.

I have not had any issues with low speed, off idle stalling or abruptness. This thing is a tractor and pulls down low into a very solid midrange and decent top end. I'm 40 and haven't ridden for 20 years but this bike makes it easy to get back into riding. So light and flick-able, smooth suspension, unbelievable breaks, and I don't have to trailer it!!

Anyway, great forum and thanks for all the great info. I will post as get new tires, modify bike and report any issues if they arise.

Congrats on the bike! I am roughly the same age and experience and also am looking at the TE310. Just seems like a perfect size bike. Keep us posted on your experience.

Did you do the power up yet? Noticed you're from MA, who did you buy your 310 from?

The smog stuff and all power up was done before I took delivery. I bought from AJ at Armand's Powersports in Halifax. They did right by me. I ride in Kingston, Plymouth, middleboro, etc...

It is perfect size for a relatively mature and mellowed 40 yr old. Been on KX's since 4th grade. Finished on a KX250 when I was 20. The 310 has plenty of power and torque and can still scare you when u want it!

Thanks for the reply....I keep posting all experience.

George makes great stuff but when i saw that plate i thought the cover looked like it could get hit EZ.

Armand's was too far south for me, had to go to Wagner to get mine. Next time I'm down that way I'll have to stop in and check out there shop. Enjoy the Husky!

Get the right skid plate.

Boy I could have used the right skid plate, ended my ride early and had to get towed out of the woods, major bummer.
At $140 for another skid plate (right one) I'm afraid I'm going to have to modify it myself. It looks nice.
