    Whats up guys,

Finally, my search has ended...Im an owner of a 2006 TE610 as of today.
After months of searching and scratching my head between fuel injected or carbed, 610 or 630, i decided that a carbed model was better for me. I was on the fence about the body color, but couldnt find a blue/yellow for a long time and had a deal going on an 07 when an 06 showed up with a Renazco and ims tank. That was a done deal for me.

I look forward to meeting some of you and I will keep reading this site for useable information.

Now the search begins for a proper exhaust.....

  2. Boo-yah, brother! Congrats...that's the same situation I was in back in 2008 when I scored a 2006 with only 1,500 miles on it. Sweet score on the seat and tank!

Some people prefer the carbed bikes, I happen to be one. I bought an 08 new and recently found an 07 with 230 miloes on it. I bought it and sold the 08. I ride solo to some pretty remote places and feel more comfortable with a carburetor. In addition, the JD jetted 07 feels faster than the PUed 08.
I think you will be happy with a Leo Vince. They come with several outlet inserts to dial the sound and they don't burn out and get louder like most of the others.

I originally preferred and wanted a carbed bike also, resisting technology for old school simplicity. Had a deal lined up for a nicely farkled '07 and liked that I could add a 5 gal tank for only $250. Well that deal fell through and in the process I softened up some regarding no EFI and then a 630 deal came up so I jumped. Not sorry at all, The 630 EFI after PU'd starts and runs flawless, great power delivery, no flat spots, surging or hiccups at all, ECU auto adjusts for altitude & humidity and biggest plus no big worries about that crappy ethanol mixed gas gumming up the carb & jets. But decent fuel range is still very costly with only a $780 Safari option, so pros & cons to both sides.

    Good stuff.
My other bike is a 950SE and after buying gasoline in Africa from a village chief stored in an evian bottle, i was very happy to know that if something went haywire,i could fix the problem.
Also, my 950 feels so perfect everywhere that i wouldnt ever want fi because it was better.
Also, i believe the carbed bike would end up a little lighter as well?
