This doesn't just affect TR650 owners so I've posted a thread in another section, but I'll link to it here so that other Australian TR650 owners can keep an eye on it. PFG has lost the distribution rights to Husqvarna in Australia and the existing KTM importer, AHG, is the new Husqvarna importer/distributor. Looks like potential for a shakeup of the dealer network in Australia as a result of this. http://www.cafehusky.com/threads/new-australian-husqvarna-importer-distributor.37177/ I'd suggest not posting in this thread and posting any news/rumour in the linked thread so that all Australian Husqvarna riders might see it.
Thanks for placing here nev as I don't browse other areas of the Cafe. AHG keep on getting bigger & bigger. Not good for competition in our small Aussie market. That's a discussion for another time...
Thanks for the info nev Great... NOT... moss tool in untrained hands. (if they keep them at all!) I went to your link and discovered why KTMs are so expensive...AHG
I don't know about MOSS tool in untrained hands. Only the existing Husqvarna dealers have the MOSS tools, supplied to them along with training by PFG, and they have bought them so they own them. Any dealers appointed by AHVA to sell Huskies in future will have the KTM tool, as 2014 Huskies onwards will share the KTM parts so there will be no reason for them to have a MOSS. Existing dealers who retain their Husqvarna dealerships will also get the KTM diagnostic tool. (So that's a bit of a win for them if they weren't already KTM dealers because now they can presumably perform KTM dealer functions. The latest news I have heard is that existing Husky dealers will retain their dealerships based on their past sales record, and the number of bikes they carry in stock, so there might be a few smaller dealerships with huskys in the corner who don't do many sales who will lose them, and in future there will be a minimum requirement for dealers to carry stock.
