It's hard for me to believe that I'm now Huskyless. I traded in my WR300 for one
these. It's a 2015 Beta 300rr Race edition. First ride will be tomorrow.

That's my next race bike too. Unless I can get a killer deal on 300WR. If you're going to get the Beta, the race edition is really the way to go. You get the Zokes for almost nothing compared to adding them as a byob.

How long did you have to wait for it, or was it just sitting on a floor waiting for you?

No wait. Dan (MotoExotica) had one on the floor. He must have just recieved a shipment because his store was full of new Betas and Huskys. FYI, my 14' WR300 is now at MotoXotica and it's loaded. The one thing I can say about the
WR300's is that motor is a badass. Probably has more power than my Beta but the lack of a sixth gear can get frustrating. If you only ride tight woods trails the five speed tranny is fine. The Beta has a great motor as well but the powerband is smoother and doesn't seem to rev as high as the Husky. It works great for woods and it's a really easy bike to ride. It also has a map switch on the bars for two different power settings. The bike handles beautifully
and the suspension is good. Still need to set the sag and dial it in for my weight and riding etc... At first it felt really stiff and tight or something so I checked the tire pressure and the front and back both had over 30 psi. I deflated
them quite a bit and that made a huge difference. Having the electric start is also pretty cool. The attention to detail is top notch. The hydo clutch works really well, the brakes are great. The rear brake pedal feels like the WR as
far as it's position goes.(Too low) I haven't had time to do much detailed setting up of anything yet but after one ride right out of the box this bike is really cool and fun to ride. The graphics are intense. Really loud (bright) red.
Eye catching, to say the least.

Very nice. Buddy just got one, yes nice bike. Also rode a new GG250 this weekend. Liked the motor better in the GG for the type of stuff I ride as the Beta 300 is to much for my needs. Bikes feel similar to me. The seats on both are hard as a brick. The Beta went 50 miles before sucking fumes so a bigger tank might be needed. The real integrated starter is awesome and lights the bike instantly.

Congrats on the beautiful bike!! I contemplated the same model but a 250!! But I heart screams for the crown as it has since 1987 or so....but never say never with a new Tm distributer next year will see....but so far the husky rocks! This summer I'll try to ride a beta...a even lower seat height sounds nice and I would remove the estart....

I thought I would remove the estart also. Once you ride the beta you will change your mind.....feels light and the button works better than any other.

I asked about a e start delete option talking to my local dealer and he looked at me and asked "I thought you were going to race it, so when was the last time you had to kick start your Husky in the middle of a nasty section on the course?"

He has a personal 2012 he races and says you would never even be able to tell the difference once you get moving until you need to start it back up.

It's already a drop of 30 lbs easy going from my 449, so if my dream comes true Imma keepin da Magic button

The Electric start on these is unlike any I've ever seen. You just hit the button~click~and it's running. I haven't even tried out the kick starter yet.
Cosmo, I'm ready when you are, I'd like to get up to Burlington on the new Beta. This bike talor made for that place. Hows the 250 doing ?

Congratulations! I traded my Huskys and my orange bike for a 14 300rr. Mostly because of seat height for me. Seat Concepts is your friend. They also make a stock style width and height seat with their own seat pan that is about 1/2 deeper than stock so you get a bit more padding for the same height.

The way i Understand it and it is annoying you can't order one without electric start....to me you should be able to save some cash and weight and order without estart . Just my two cents....I'll be 50 in two weeks and iam still not ready for electric start..I rarely stall a bike....as my knees get worse it may be something I'll consider... Regardless I love the looks of the beta

I think that evolution in the year 2015 has brought us to the point where most if not all "exotic" bikes two and four stroke will be electric start and personally, I can't think of a reason why I wouldn't
want it. I don't know how much extra weight it adds but I can say with out a doubt that the Beta feels lighter and handles a lot better than my 14' WR300. That's not a knock on the Husky, I loved that bike
with all my heart and their are some things that I still love better on the Husky but handling and nimbleness (is that a word?) wasn't one of them. My WR300 was an easy kick starter after the JD Kit but what if
say you're on a steep, narrow trail and you go down or stall it (on one of those rare occasions) anyone who's been in one of those situations know that gravity is working against you and having to kick start it as apposed
to hitting a button...... well, it's a no brainer for me.
