Do I need a new head gasket when I do a valve check or can I reuse the old one?

    Thanks

You may not need it but I would rather have one and not need it than need one and not have it.

Never reuse a head gasket, rocker cover o ring last a long time if not torn. Later George

I assumed (hopefully correctly) that he was talking about the rocker cover gasket.:busted:

I assume your talking about the valve cover gasket and not the head gasket. If so, I would re-use, infact I try to keep mine on the head, and just remove the valve cover. You can even put some silicone if need be to prevent small leaks
