TE/TC New Husky Ergos

I've always thought the KTM/burg/husky bikes felt weird in the ergo department. My 350 is set as good as I can get it but now the 15' 300 has been a pain to set up and I'm not sure why, it should be real similar.
I'm 5'10" which I would think is fairly average but I think these bikes are set up for a 5'8" person but I can't confirm.
When siting I feel good with no risers and bars in #3 position but when standing I feel way bent over and when standing and on the gas hard its hard to twist the throttle all the way and its hard to hang on since my arms ar e bent so much I get sore tricepts and lats.
I've tried fastways pegs in both positions and neither felt great so I'm still with stock pegs.
I know its not just me since my AA buddy rode it and without me saying anything he said it was hard to hang on to and crank on the throttle and that something felt funky.
My bars are lined up with forks an just slightly forward which is how all my bikes have been.

Anyone have anything they've tried that worked to help with this?

I do the classic style of throttle hand regrip.... I dont sit there in riding position then twist from there.... I reach around (sounds bad I know) and go from there..... I stand bent over at waist Johnny Campbell style not the more upright position.... I can read the front number from my standing position....

also 6ft and standing doesn't feel natural, I also have scotts underbar setup so bars are lifted 1".
I must invest in some lower foot pegs one day

I have the lowed pegs. Still not right but it works. My legs are long so ergos rarely fit me.

Not every bike fits every person.... I think the bike has a fairly big cockpit.... To me when you get the under risers, high bars and low pegs it feels like your riding a dual sport.....

How do you stand? More upright? leaned forward butt out?

I have to agree with you guys. After riding a friends bike that has bars with less sweep. I've decided I'm going to get bars with less sweep set them in the most forward position. I think this will help in the standing position.

Enduro Engineering bar risers keep me from tipping forward when standing the tall seat made the transfer from sitting to standing much easier.

Just got a 2016 300, and standing up was instantly uncomfortable, and I felt out of control. Got the 30mm risers, and put bars fully forward - much better now! Another 20mm would be perfect for standing up, but then the bars would be too high for hill climbs. I'm 6' BTW.

It does take some fiddling to find a good position.
I'm 6' 3".
I stand whenever I can. I try to tune the cockpit for the best standing position I can get, otherwise riding is too much work.

I have max bar risers, Fastway pegs in the lower position, and use the tallest bend ProTaper bar which is the Travis Pastrana model.
I still have to bend too much, but the more I lean over the bars the better.

For me, the Italian Huskys have a good cockpit. I thought the new Gas Gas had nice cockpits too.

BRP Rubber submount for me with rubber bar isolators and a Scotts Stabilizer. It raises the bars I believe 60 to 70 MM. Perfect now. I'm 5'11" Nothing else even comes close to this set Ideal set up. I run a GPR Submount and stabilizer on my other bike. Great product too.

This is perfect.... too many people stand straight up with back more vertical and bent knees.... Hence the reason for tall risers... some of these might as well get some ape hangers off a harley....

your chin should be right above the bars....

I even put the Italian husky 14' bars on which helped me a little with arm pump but it sound like a lot of guys are using the renthal 999 bars which are even shorter which has me puzzled.
I rolled my bars a little farther forward as I was running pretty close to neutral and this also seemed to help with standing a bit but tomorrow is race day so I'll know right away if it helps over a two hour race

I am 6'4" and 280. I have found that bar risers and Renthal RC Hi bend fat bars, and tall seat have made the bikes fit me. I learned this with all of my KTMs and now use it on my 15 TE300. I am 60 years old, and stand up a lot. I also use stiffer springs for my weight. These bikes are far easier to make fit a large rider that new Japanese bikes.

I finally bent my OEM bars Saturday. I ordered the Protaper Pastrana FMX bend which are nearly identical specs to the RC mini's you mentioned. I hope my Cycra guards will fit them. I had to custom bend them to fit the OEM's and I've re-bent them a few times by saying hello to a few trees over the past 2 seasons...LOL I also have a BRP submount which adds an inch already. I hope the taller bars help. I'd really like a taller seat than what is offered as well. 20mm taller just isn't cutting it. Maybe I'll call Lendon, I think he's a tall guy. He was cool last time I spoke with him.

I have the Cycra guards on my bikes and they fit the RC HI bends fine.

I am running the Fastway F3 pegs in the low position, 1/2 inch lower than stock. Tall seat via Husky. Bar mounts set in the farthest forward position, and the weird thing is stock bars rolled one notch Back from neutral. I am 6ft with a 34 inseam.

6' 4" and run the FastWay F3's in low position also. Best money spent so far. I keep the stock seat and run probably close to 1" risers with stock bars (in most forward position).
