Hi guys, greetings from the Philippines.
Just recently purchased a terra 650 and I'm very happy with it. Just need some help on the following items:
    A. Is there a "break in" period for the bike. Some say just ride it some say just take it easy.
    B. Plan to install a pair of led lights, would the current electrical system be good enough to power the lights and not drain the battery
Aside from that anything to keep an eye on?
    Thanks for your help
    Cheers

Pay particular attention to the "Known Issues" section. Welcome to a great bike. Take care of a few nagging issues and you will love this bike. Make sure you view the "how to's and instructables" which are shown in yellow.

Your FIRST two fixes should be:

    1. Dangerous! - Lean Stumble/off idle stumble, address this quickly as the bike is prone to stalling when pulling away from a stop light. It will get you in trouble in a hurry if not addressed quickly.

    2. Address the air box issues. There have been several bike that have needed top ends by ignoring this OEM flaw.

Hi Jodie, hope it was a good one without any problems from the bike. Soon I'd like to do a long ride and finally test the tr that way.
Your bike performed well? Your from las pinas right?

Im from QC miko, bike stalls at low rpm and gets a little hot.. goin back the temp was playing up and down but not to the point of overheating.. the radiator had less water/coolant. Think the radiator cap would not let water back in when it cool.. changed my cap and will still see..
From what i hear from othersis that when u bring it for the 1st 1000kms they will remap it and change the coolant..
solves the hicup at lowrpm and overheat issues..

They also remove the exhaust restrictors..
Cant waitto have mine serviced :)

I remember we met in their office.

    Hi mike,
The more the merrier! Plan to do an easy ride with a friend on Sunday. Tagaytay and back lang. Will confirm if it pushes thru. I'm no fast rider. I enjoy the scenery when riding around.
    Ride safe.

Hi guys, I just bought a second hand Terra with 3000km on it. The brake light constantly stays on. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this????

It's most likely the rear brake lever switch. It's a bit of a goofy, sprung switch. You'll likely need to do some quick and easy bending to fix it. Turn the key, depress the rear lever and look for the tab that activates the light. Some brief tinkering should have you all sorted.

Mine was stuck on after a drop on the trail, took all of 30 seconds to fix. Some have gone as far as to put an entirely different switch in as a replacement.

Thx guys, The rear brake pedal was slightly bent as Chuffa said. Used a bar to bend it back and Walla my brake light functions again…. Cheers Chris
