    Hello All,

I am new to SM and got my first such bike recently.

I have a SM610, and am thinking about getting 18/21 wheels and a smaller front brake setup so that I can take it to trails as well.

    Have anyone done similar setup?
What all items are required, and where to get them?

    ANy help/information is appreciated.

We have done it a couple of times ,it works great,we put a wide dual sport tire on the 17 rim works fine and run 21 up front. It takes about a grand to do it with new parts, but since we own a large mc salvage we have all the stuff used now and then.Wheels sell fast.Need frt wheel,2 TE610 spacers, small caliper, use stk hose and m/cyl.billf www.billshusky.com

Or if you’re on a budget you can go the WoodsChick’s route using your existing 17” rims

    Thanks for the feedbacks.

    I have few more questions:

@doormandan: what is the pipe thingie under the exhaust header?

@billf, small caliper from which bike? is that a direct fit? (may after removing the spacer for the brembo caliper on the SM?)
    also which rotor?

Is there writeup on woodschick's bike setup? I am getting inspired after seeing the pic:)

by the way, things are not THAT simple for me to talk to any of you guys and get items, as I am in India which is a long way off from USA.
