Hi all you Husky whores! I have just bought a low mileage TE610 to compliment my HP2 for tighter technical ADV riding. I am impressed with the passion here and on ADVRider for these scoots! Without trolling through 100's of pages please can you point me in the direction of:

    1) Tail Rack options - was there an OEM rack? Part number? Other options (I know of the Moto Billet square barbeque one)? I also know one should not load up the subframe too much like the Se's and HP2 etc. Just want to tie on a small tailbag.

    2) Windscreen options for longer hauls? May swop out the headlight assembly for a Trailtech or Acerbis unit ... or maybe Baja Design ...

    3) Replacement wider footpegs?

    4) Tail tidy options? Does the TE630 plate section fit the 610 - looks like it can be trimmed down better? What other option to lift numberplate and tidy up? Options of integrated LED light and indicators?

    All advice appreciated

I have some friendly advice! I read this forum all the time, having 2 610's in my garage at home, and I don't appreciate being called a whore.
I'm sure you meant it in a friendly way, probably thinking you were addressing a bunch of gnarly dirtbiker men, but there are gnarly dirtbiker women here at CafeHusky that ride 610's and 630's, too :) We only have one rule here: This is a high-class forum. Post accordingly.

Luckily, info on a 610 is about 100% easier to find here than it is on the one and only 610 thread on ADV. Whoever came up with that idea should be taken out behind the woodpile

Enjoy your new 610, and welcome to CafeHusky

Trailtech works nice as a headlight replacement. Electrical connections all match, but had to move the horn a bit for a good fit. I have Fastway pegs from a TE510. Had to do some grinding on the right peg mount so the peg could fold up all the way but otherwise a good fit. Instead of a rear rack I went the Giant Loop Coyote bag route. Also have their tank bag. Both work well on the 610.

    Enjoy!

    Hey BiG DoM,

Weird, you've got an HP2 and TE610; I've the HP and 630. Congrats.

    1) I went with the Touratech rack, it's gorgeous and matches the bike's fit and finish well. Prices have dropped so deals should be found.

    2) None, but tbh, I prefer not to have a windscreen unless on a sportbike. I've done a 1,000 km day on the Husky and loved not having a larger screen. The smaller screen works for me.

    3) I considered it since I did it on the HP2 but opted not to. This is the first dirtbike or enduro where the pegs worked for me with or without the rubber inserts. But I'd recommend:

Fastways. I have them on the HP2 and had them on my 12GS and loved them.

    4) Nothing for you on this one.

    And again, welcome.

I apologies for my boorish behavior and filthy tongue.:p Interesting that you presume I am a man ... and refer to yourself as a 'chick' - some would consider this rather sexist and chauvanist  Anyway banter aside thanks for the welcome - I am loving the TE.

I'm not assuming anything; it says "male" in your profile.
