Husqvarna dealer where I bought my 2012 Te310 just got the prices posted for the new Austrian Husky's. You got to be kidding. These things are EXPENSIVE. I figured they would be after all they are KTM's. Sure they are great bikes but damn those prices sting.

Yes sir. I am thinking of buying a second te511 while theres a few around. Wont get a dual sport this cheap ever again!!

also forget the website but it said husqvarna was 84% of the average price of a motocross bike. Not anymore!

That's why I bought my te 449 then went back and bought the te 511. Dual sport bikes that rip at discount prices equals lots of fun. I bought the last 449/511's my dealer had and paid about the same for both as what the ktm 500's were selling for for one bike.

If I hadn't just laid down money on all the goodies, I would be jumping on another 511 right now. :( I am really on the fence. Dual sport one, supermoto the other.... :D

the new Husky FE350 is $9899. Ouch The dealer has a leftover 2013 Txc 310 for $5999. Wish I had some extra bucks. Good deals on leftovers are out there. He's got a 2014 TXC 250 and 511's also.

2014 FE350 price in the US is $9549. FE501 is $9899.... Still no bargain by Italian Husky standards....

I always buy bikes off the back side of the power-curve \ wave .... I own 5 Husky bikes, first one purchased in 2009 ... So, probably ~$16,000 in costs and spread out over the time frame 2009 - 2013... Interest at ~3.5%? To me, bikes are a luxury item and I just can't justify (to myself) trading my hard-earned and saved $$ (power if I have any) for a new bike ... I just won't do it today ...Just not an even swap to me.

    --
Guess what? All those bright new shiny Italian Huskies are gonna be available for the next several yrs at least ... Not from your dealer maybe, but from a garage somewhere across the great USA country. The bike might be blinged and will look almost new and will be at a discounted price ... Patience young grasshopper, patience ...

    --
I did up my limit to $4K per bike but that was a mistake ... I've saw 012 models TCs for just a little over 3K ... 3k, that's a number I can deal with, today even.

Funny because ktm friends of mine where telling me the Italian huskys where not going to be worth anything and to drop mine like a hot potato. I actually see just the opposite happening. The prices on these new huskys is just beyond crazy. So the few Italian huskys in dealers will probably disappear as soon as these new Lexus bikes show up. Hell there's left over KTM's for thousands less than these are listed. Its nuttiness.

Your friends could be right ... But you know, steppers step, crybabies cry ...
    --

I certainly hope the ktm bike sales numbers don't drop 2-3% in yr 1 ... Who wants to hear all that crying? It could even start an avalanche of disgruntled customers moving to the perceived promise lands of some unknown lucky brand of bike. Its an SP monster now ...

You gotta remember how bikes are sold and purchased at the drop of a hat by so many almost regardless of the market. ... Things can be run up and down the flag pole very quickly .... These things are not like buying and selling a home. Bikes in many places are not even like a car which are essential to so many. Really would not matter if all bikes in America disappeared. These little places like where I'm at... bikes are workhorses, accepted and essential to society.

I am concerned about being able to get parts for the Italian Huskys in the future. As far as the price they don't seem to hold their value very well. You can get a leftover Italian Husky very cheap so if you have a used one you are not gonna get top dollar for it. I have seen prices for slightly used ones, dirt cheap. I want to see how the new Austrian Huskys progress. They rushed to get models out so had to basically put the name Husqvarna on a KTM. They have stated that as time goes by there will be more of a seperation in design of the new Huskys. The bike will I am sure get better andf retrieve its own identity but the price will remain high.

Just bought two 2013 TC 250R 's for less than one new KTM/Husky. I checked parts inventories. Buying up parts that I see may not be available in the future. These will last me awhile. 11 grand out the door for a dirt bike. Kiss my tailpipe.

I agree. Crazy. Got my new 2013 TC250R at $4300+tax etc. I see used ones people are selling for more than that! Depends on supply and demand around where you may live. I love my Italian Huskys

The red and black and white huskies of yesteryear seem to go for nearly as much around here so I do not see the big deal. I already could not afford a new bike as it was, its like 1k more expensive than it was before...

The part's issue is the bike concern as far as our old Italian's go. I had to search for weeks to find a replacement oil drain bolt for my 2011 TE 250. That said after 1200 miles ( most of them flogged over the rocks of the Arizona ) the bike has been flawless. Starts every time and runs like a champ. I haven't even had to adjust the chain. As much as I would like to throw down on the new FE350 I can't justify it. If anything I saw a couple of 2013 TE 310's sitting in the snow at the dealer in Montana last week and I am tempted to make a call and see just how low he would go. Again tho... getting parts on a bike that was produced in such limited fashion might kill it for me. I am not a fan of the KTM's but you can almost buy parts for those bikes at Walmart.

anyone know how much difference in power there might be between the old 310 and the new 350 motor?
