Just got my new Engine Guard, and as usual not paying attention to what I received in the box, didn't realize that there was a bolt missing and had disposed of the packaging that it came in! Thinking that in the US they use mainly imperial bolts so ordered a 5/16" UNC replacement, which came the next day! Yes as you would have told me the bolts were metric which I have access to shed loads lol. Oh well you live and learn! Still nice bit of kit and when the bike comes back home after a service and warranty works I can fit it on and post some pics!
I'm pleased with the ricochet too! Bolt on was easy peasy... The thing Looks like the rugged as hell!!! Not too worried about the rocky stuff at all... No problem with the Altrider crash bar fit...plenty of room..
They have only one Mechanic and they won't be able to do mine until later in the week, so I thought seeing I cannot use it as is, best get it there on Thursday and they may be able to do bits of the service/warranty etc.
I have not tried this. May be best to contact Ricochet and see if this is advisable or not. I'll drop them a line.
Ricochet just got back to me. Good news, this was their response: "I don’t see why there would be any problem doing that, it should take that weight easily."
i must've already owned too many new bikes in my lifetime, because in 8 months and 4,500km the only wash my Terra has had have been the puddles I've aimed for.
The first new bike I have had in my lifetime. Still in that honeymoon stage . Getting her dirty is too hard to resist.
Brill and thanks for letting us know. I cannot wait to get it on the bike now, but she is at the bike shop for a service and warranty work, maybe a week in there as they only have one Mechanic! i had asked them if they have done the valves on any of the 650's and I was told no not yet
