Hi Everybody. Its becoming very apparent that the stock springs on my 2008 WR250 are way to soft for my rather portly 95 Kgs 209 Lbs frame. Had a quick look at Race Tec but for some reason there listing jump from 1999 to 2010.

Anybody had good results with a particular make, Thanks in advance

If Im correct, there arent many different spring manufacturers out there from whom companies like Racetech get their springs. I believe Racetech's springs are made by Eibach. Very notaeble company. I can ask what brand my springs are today when I pick up my forks (yayyy!!) from my suspension guy.
Back to Racetech, I have used their forks on 3 different bikes and I have no complaints.

Give Hall's a call, they did have a good selection of OEM springs in stock for your bike, and I assume they still do.

yeh I got eibach. 2010 shouldn't be much different to 2008, forks probably different(zokes not kybs) but should still be sachs shock?

I am at the same stage with my 07. The springs are way off for me. About the same weight range as you. Let us know what you find out.

If you live on the east coast send to David at Fast Bike industries in NC

If you live on the west coast sent to Zip Ty racing Oakhills Calif

I use both of them and ALL my Husky work perfect

No advice here and owning the same bike at 150lbs, I can see where your springs are gonna be an issue. Too bad the correct-spring issue cannot be solved (air-forks?) for future purchases of machines. At my weight, I have a good chance for todays' stock supplied suspension to work close enough for me with the simpler mods before opening up the wallet. My 08 WR250 and 010 TC 250s both do ok for me (track and trails) with no spring changes. I change the oil levels slightly on the 08 but the 010 bikes I just change the clickers when I get a bang big enough to remember to CLK....

Good luck on the fix and after the fix is applied, you gotta test it :) Always a good reason to ride more...

08s come with 45mm zokes ... I guess mine are stock and do well up unless I get at high speed > 30mph on faster on gnarly trails and hit some big stuff at those speeds ... So I either slow up or try greatly2x to pick the correct line and hold on tightly. A stabilizer might be good a fix here as I do get some twists on the bars out there.

Hopefully with help from here and enough research I can get the spring rates correct the first time. There is very little information out there for the Sachs and 45mm zokes. Racetech does not even list it. Even if they did I have read many times that there spring rates are to high. Once I accomplish the spring rates then I will send the suspension to Zip Ty to get re-valved. If i'm heading in the wrong direction please advise.

I was ok with it until I rode my friends set up 09 KTM 250 XC-R It was insane how it handles with the suspension set up. He could not believe how much power and how hard the WR midrange hit. We both came back with huge smiles on our faces for different reasons.
