    Hi all,

I'm excited to join the Husky gang! I just sold my '12 WR450F last week & bought a new leftover '15 Husky FE350 (non "s") which I take delivery on later this week. I'm trying to figure out which path to take between a JD Jetting Power Surge 6X Tuner or a remap from Tokyo Mods (http://www.tokyomods.com/), so please bare with the detail below.

I'm in North TX, started riding dirt bikes 2 years ago, we ride mostly trails consisting of sand, rocks, some hard pack, rocky hill climbs and tight woods single tracks. I'd categorize myself at the lower end of an intermediate rider now.

When I got the WR, I added the FMF Megabomb & Powercore 4 slip on. Needless to say I had to remap the fuel/ignition, I installed the GYTR ECU & used the GYTR tuner to get the bike to run the way I wanted it to, ultimately programming it once to match the exhaust mods and really never touched it again unless it was super muddy (remember, I do not race)...all very simple & very effective.

    Moving on to the FE350...

I decided to go with the Husky because of it's (and KTM's) reputation for being a great bike for the type of riding I do & the WR was a killer (top heavy) after a few hour in the conditions I ride and in the 100 degree plus temps we ride in at times (I hope I don't miss the 450 torque too much). I'm going to install a Rekluse EXP Core, FMF Megabomb & factory 4.1 slip on. My dealer under no circumstances will upload the EU map to the bike and I cannot find anyone local that will. I know with the exhaust mods I'm going to at least need to run a little richer & from my conversations & what I've read on this forum and others I'm going to want a little more bottom end grunt (especially after coming off of a 450).

MY QUESTION: Should I have Tokyo Mods (or any other places you can recommend) load a MX map for modified exhaust or go with the JD Jetting Tuner? I am aware that the JD Tuner does not manipulate the ECU itself, rather it intercepts the ECU's signals and modifies them.

I appreciate any help you can provide and any other suggestions you have for me with this bike.

    THANKS!

Thanks! I just spoke with Munn, they're less than 2 hrs away from me. The mild/wild/stock selector is what got me down this rabbit hole in the first place. I think I'll start with the EU Map reflash and the selector switch then go from there. Tokyo Mods is in SoCal, closer to you, they do work on some of the SX/MX factory team bikes, Justin is knowledgeable and will answer you questions if you call him.

Sorry ...the Vortex is nice if you race, I can't justify the price for myself. now I have to decide between Munn & Tokyo. I spoke to Munn, they can load the EU map for $195.00. Tokyo doesn't load the EU map, but claims their MX for modified exhaust map will give me all the EU map does but will have better bottom end throttle response, his map will also allow for the selector switch to be used and for $99.00.
