Well in my search for a single track bike, I started by looking for a wr300 or a 300 xc-w. No go, ether they didn't fit my price range or I could not find what I wanted. I had decided I would like electric start and lighter weight than my 610. So as I was looking the Cafe's classified section, I came across an 08 txc. After talking to the owner (cb250txc) I figured it would fit my use the best. So after a 18 and a half hour day of down and back driving, I have a very nice single track bike. Thanks to cb250txc for driving out of the city for a couple hours to meet me. So that brings us to today. Took it out for a 20 some odd mile shake down. And my verdict is....SWEET. It seems very nice to loose the extra 100#'s and gain the quicker steering over the 610. The 300 kit just adds to extra fun. Sorry for the poor picture quality, I only had my cell phone with me.
Looks great Wally! I starting to wish my 510 was a 310. I have a three day weekend august 7,8,9 (first time off this year). I need to ride the 510 or trade it for a rocking chair. Vacation in sept. you need to attend the Chandler Hill challenge the last weekend in sept. It is an AMA dualsport event and loads of fun. Steve
