I am coming off an 08 yz250f and want a two stroke.I do 90% woods riding/racing with a little motocross and i absolutely love the options Husky offers and i refuse to buy a pumpkin.Would the WR250 be a good choice? Thanks BTW AWESOME web site![IMG]

Wr125/150 for total FUN factor. Wr250/300 for do it all bike. Can;t go wrong with any of them. Yes the WR125/150 will top anything just takes a little more technique.

Go the 300. Heeps of top end but has some real torque too. Only short fall is a lack of an electric leg, then again your YZ did not have one either and the 300 will start easier than the YZ.

I am new to even considering a husky and doing any kind or research. Do the 125s have more power than jap 125s? I agree they are fun but competitive against 450 in a 3 hour harescramble??

Depends on how long the hill is; Most of the time, if I'm not caught off gaurd, 3rd gear does it all. For those steep hills after a corner 2nd works and have to ring its neck. The nice thing about my one two five is that it never gives me more than I can handle. Therefore it rarely tires me.

P.S. If I had the extra cash, I would not hesitate to slam the 144 kit on. Just a little more tourque on the bottom for those times caught "off-guard"

I may not be as fast on my WR144 as I was on my KX250 but I know that I can ride faster for a longer period of time. That is a good thing in a 3 hour race.

I am also thinking of a wr 125 it is a 07 with 40 miles on it. I hope I like it. I ride hard newengland trails, and I used to ride a 08 yz 125 and liked it, but wanted to try something dif. Is the motor going to be as good as the yz, how about the low end of the motor?

Get a 250. I got one and love it. It revs high and is fast as SH@#. Super simple to work on. Who needs more cc's anyways.

If you even consider a 125, I would go with a YZ125. I've rode both the YZ and WR 125's. YZ wins.

But unless the areas you ride are more flowing, don't get a 125. I would not hesitate to get a 250. They haven't changed much since '07 so getting a used one will not be much different than a brand new one.
